Places to Fish

Here is a searchable directory of lots of freshwater fishing opportunities in Assynt, which you can also see via our  Freshwater map. You can also find Permit information here - if you're unsure which permit covers which area, see our Boundaries Map.

The Directory covers trout and salmon and sea trout fishing and you can search by angling organisation, type or boat availability. Trout angling in Assynt comes under the Assynt Angling Group (in three 'zones') and the Assynt Crofters’ Trust and also Lagg Fishery (rainbow trout). Salmon and sea trout fishing on Rivers Inver and Kirkaig is sold via CKD Galbraith; with some other salmon and sea trout angling available through the AAG and ACT.
