Gorm Loch Mor / Gorm Loch Beag
Up in the hills behind Nedd, your best access to this large loch is to take the track heading south from Nedd at NC137319, being careful not to block access for other cars.
At the end of the track is a house and small byre. Proceed due south and then through a cutting between Cnoc Odhar and Cnoc Cailleach Iain which brings you out overlooking Gorm Loch Mor.
There are fish of all sizes here and some good sport to be had with the south/south western shore offfering the easiest casting.
Three quarters of the way along head south to the right of Gorm Chnoc, which looms over the end of Gorm Loch Mor, to Gorm Loch Beag. You can fish all the way around this loch and it has lots of trout between half and three quarters of a pound, as well as reputedly some larger specimens.
There is a boat on Gorm Loch Mor which you can locate via the botton on the right.

Gorm Loch Mor
Just came across your site after being asked to complete a questionnaire.
I have fished in Assynt a couple of times, the last being May of this year. It was a great week. The surroundings are wonderful and having a whole Loch to yourself, a different one each day and all for £25 is superb. It is great that the Crofters Trust is doing what it can to maintain and improve the fishery. Every Loch I fished produced beautiful little wild trout. Here is a photo of one of these little beauties from Gorm Loch Mor.

Gorm Loch Mor
Really need the boat for this one, banks very steep. Fished it twice around midsummer and caught lots of small 2-6 oz fish. great fun.
Fish well fed and really good eating. Any old fly will do but always something black on the point.
Conditions :- first time overcast and windy, second bright sun with gentle breeze. Results the same.
